DETAILS OF OUR KS1 VICTORIAN INVENTIONS WORKSHOP

Our Victorian living history workshop for Key Stage One is packed with the same learning included in the Key Stage Two version, albeit adapted to the needs of the younger age range.

Each class will come into the hall for a one hour interactive inventions talk with Mr B in Victorian inventor's costume, who will show them a range of inventions such as the typewriter, Victorian cameras, the incredible 3d stereoviewer and also a section entitled 'Guess the home inventions' where pupils examine and investigate strange inventions to try to work out what they are.

This is then followed by a go at powering Mr B's Stephenson's Rocket steam train around his 25ft track, to teach pupils about the importance of steam power in Victorian times.  The workshop then ends with a chance for pupils to have their picture taken with Mr B in his Victorian costume.
